Pierre Fabre Australia has taken over the distribution of the Eau Thermale Avène and Klorane brands in Australia from Actavis.
While the supply chain network remains the same, the marketing and promotion of the brands now fall under the direct management of Pierre Fabre.
Pierre Fabre Australia Managing Director Florence Edmond said bringing Eau Thermale Avène and Klorane in-house is a significant milestone for the company.
“We are incredibly proud of our brands’ success in this market, with Eau Thermale Avène being the leading dermo-cosmetic brand in Australia,” she said.
“This announcement is evidence of our confidence and commitment to these brands, to the Australian market, to our Australian partners and, particularly, pharmacists and our loyal consumers. We would like to thank Actavis for the role it has played in representing these brands up until now, and for helping to make them household names in Australia.”
Retailers should retain a ‘business as usual’ approach and Pierre Fabre Australia will endeavor to avoid any disruption to the supply chain as a result of the change in management of the brands.
Pierre Fabre Australia also announced the two new ranges for the Australian market.
XeraCalm, under the Avène brand, is a new emollient skin care range for sensitive skin, effectively soothing inflammation and redness. The range consists of XeraCalm Cleansing Oil, XeraCalm Balm and XeraCalm Cream, all of which are 100 per cent fragrance free and have a physiological pH.
Klorane Dry Shampoo will launch as the latest in premium hair care – Tinted Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – in October. The product will be available in 150ml and travel sized 50ml bottles.
