The Export Council of Australia (ECA) has acknowledged the Export Award winners announced at one of Sydney’s most prestigious presentation events – the Premier’s NSW Export Awards.
The awards recognise NSW companies for their contribution to the state and national economy. More than 85 applicants contended for one of 12 industry-specific categories and eight state-based awards that recognise emerging exporters, leadership, innovation and, above all else, export excellence.
As a leading advocate for international trade, the ECA, in conjunction with the NSW Government, was honoured to manage the statewide competition where nominees secure their reputation on the world stage.
ECA CEO Lisa McAuley said: “Given the announcement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership [TPP], acknowledging exporters is vital in building awareness of these new market opportunities available to business owners. We are seeing more and more new companies exporting their goods and services, with excellent results.
“We need to take advantage of the market opportunities created by the north Asian free trade agreements and now the potential of the TPP agreement and recognise the success of those clever companies that are really making waves overseas.”
