Pure Blonde is no longer just a low carb beer, but also a crisp apple cider claiming 60 per cent less sugar and 50 per cent less carbohydrates than regular cider.
Consumer research has shown that in Australia, 84 per cent of regular cider drinkers are likely to follow a healthy and balanced diet (‘Attitudes of Australian Cider Drinkers’, VicHealth, 2014). Knowing this, Pure Blonde Cider aims to be the perfect fit for adults who have an active lifestyle and are looking for a smarter choice when drinking.
It contains 16 fewer teaspoons of sugar per six-pack (or 2.7 fewer per bottle than regular cider), appealing to those who believe that cider is too sweet compared to other alcoholic beverages
“Pure Blonde Cider will appeal to those who don’t normally drink cider because they find it too sweet and sugary, particularly white wine drinkers,” Pure Blonde Marketing Manager Ben Eyles said.
“We have created Pure Blonde Cider with 60 per cent less sugar and 50 per cent less carbohydrates than regular cider for both men and women who are focused on a balanced lifestyle.”
Pure Blonde Cider is 4.2 per cent ABV and has been launched nationally.
