Ruffie launches new plant-based range with protein boost

Ruffie Rustic Foods is “filling a gap” in the market for high-protein, plant-based meal options with its latest launch.

Now available in Coles and Woolworths, the Plant Powered range features Plant Powered Veg Bolognese, Plant Powered Chickpea Rendang with Red Lentils and Broccoli, and Plant Powered Balls with Pasta and Southern Style Sauce.

All meals are said to contain no less than 24g of protein. They also come in 100% certified compostable trays that can be disposed of in a compost bin at home or curb-side garden bin.

Ruffie Rustic Foods says it prides itself on offering a variety of plant-based recreations to “crowd favourites” such as their famous Chickenless Schnitzel with Penne Pomodoro or their Portobello Mushroom Risotto with White Beans. It’s now out to prove that plant-based eating can cater to a high-protein diet with the new Plant Powered meals.

As the new range reaches the shelves of Coles and Woolworths, Ruffie Rustic Foods is running the ‘Train like a Pro’ consumer promo, where consumers will have the chance to win the “trip of a lifetime” to the Surfing Australia HPC. The winners will experience what it’s like to train like a professional surfer, while enjoying high protein, plant-based meals the entire trip. All consumers have to do is scan the QR code on the front of the new plant protein or classics range and follow the prompts to register.

“This range is perfect for anyone wanting to incorporate more vegetables and meat alternatives into their diet, but not have to sacrifice delicious taste and their protein intake,” says Pattie Foods GM Marketing & Innovation Anand Surujpal.

“Ruffie Rustic Foods is all about ensuring our customers can live a balanced, healthy life. We are here to help make it easy to take care of your body and eat healthy food.”
