Following the introduction of the ‘We’re Family’ brand platform in 2001, San Remo is launching a new integrated campaign to shine a light on what makes up a modern Australian family.
Building upon its ‘We Are Family’ brand platform and 2022 brand campaign, the latest campaign looks to explore the modern Australian family structure, how disconnected we have become, and how by engaging with each other over a bowl of pasta, we can bring families together.
“While family meals have been shown to positively impact health and wellbeing outcomes for both children and parents, the distractions of the modern world can mean that quality family time over the dinner table is often sacrificed, with only 45% of families coming together for meal time”, according to the brand. Working together with creative agency TheEmotive, the creative demonstrates how ‘San Remo Brings Families Together’.
Depicting a disjointed family having a separate, lonely evening under one roof, the creative “shines a light on how they can unite together by sharing a bowl of delicious San Remo pasta.”
San Remo Marketing Manager Hugh McIntosh says: “Family is an integral part of the San Remo brand, and we are so pleased to launch this latest iteration in our ‘We’re Family’ story.
“Centring San Remo as the pantry staple among Australian families, has been important to emulate creatively, no matter what family looks like to each of us.
“With Australians being busier than ever, it’s never been more important to share quality time with family, and at San Remo, we know that pasta is one of the most-loved dishes that can bring families together.”
Featured across TV, cinema, digital and social media, the campaign kicks off in San Remo’s home state of South Australia from 3 March, then nationally from 31 March, and is expected to inspire Aussies to cook up their favourite family pasta recipe.
San Remo has been cooking up 100% Australian durum wheat pasta for almost ninety years and is available at major and independent supermarkets across Australia/New Zealand.
