The Laughing Cow and Abe’s Bagels search for creative combos

The Laughing Cow and Abe’s Bagels have launched a competition to find the most creative ways to combine the brand’s respective products.

Running until 3 March, consumers are invited to come up with innovative combos showcasing The Laughing Cow cheese on an Abe’s Bagel.

“They can come up with any mix as long as the final offering is fun, tasty and uses no more than three additional ingredients,” reads a statement.

Participants are then encouraged to give their creations a snappy name, and to photograph and submit them by sending a direct message to the @thelaughingcowaunz Instagram.

The winning entry will score $2000 in cash and have their recipe showcased on International Day of Happiness (20 March) when 100 of the tasty offerings will be available to the public for free at a popular Sydney cafe.

Former MasterChef Australia contestant, and television presenter, Justine Schofield, will be the face of the campaign, posting her own bagel recipe and participating in the judging panel.

“The campaign is designed to bring together one of the world’s most popular spreadable cheeses with the fastest growing bagel brand in town to encourage foodies to display their creativity,” says a spokesperson for The Laughing Cow.

“There are so many ways to enjoy The Laughing Cow – by itself, as a spread or as a topping. This is the perfect way to show the versatility of our cheese.”

The competition is running until 3 March, with a representative from The Laughing Cow and Abe’s joining Ms Schofield to judge on the panel. The winner will be announced the following week.
