For the past 12 years, Aussie made and owned sugar free drinks brand Nexba has been making all natural, sugar free and Aussie made drinks and celebrates a milestone having now removed “five billion grams of sugar” from Aussie diets.
“On average, Aussie’s consume somewhere between 14-16 teaspoons of sugar per day, which is well over the World Health Organisation’s recommended daily intake. One of the main culprits of excess sugar consumption is sugar-loaded soft drinks, with some of the traditional players having over 17 teaspoons in one serve,” according to Nexba.
Aussie consumers are now demanding more from their drinks, with the anti-sugar and anti-plastic movements gaining momentum.
“Consumer health trends have shaken up the beverage industry, with many wanting drinks that aren’t just sugar-free, but are also free from artificial sweeteners, flavours and colours. On top of that, Aussie’s aren’t willing to compromise on great taste.”
Nexba’s globally patented Natural Sweetener Blend of stevia and erythritol is “all natural and 100% sugar free.”
Nexba has been tracking its impact by recording how much sugar Aussie’s have avoided and as of June 2022, Nexba has officially removed “five billion grams of sugar.”
“Nexba is all about the best of both worlds. Troy and I have believed since day one that health shouldn’t mean sacrificing taste and vice versa. Life’s too short! All our products contain our globally patented Natural Sweetener Blend that more accurately matches the taste and feel of sugar in the mouth than anything else on the market. When you have a Nexba it’s hard to believe it’s healthy,” says Nexba co-founder Drew Bilbe.
Nexba has released the latest product in the range, Crafted Soda, a “better-for-you, feel-good refreshing soda, without all the nasties.”
Flavours in the range includes Orange, Lemon Squash, Vintage Cola, Pineapple, Passionfruit and Ginger Beer. Available at Coles, Woolworths and online at Nexba.com.
