The Pines Shopping Centre is hosting its next Fresh Food Fest on 7-8 September, locking in subsequent Fresh Food Fest dates through to the end of 2024.
The food-focused event at the popular shopping centre in Melbourne’s east will run from 10am – 2pm on both days and will showcase the centre as the go-to destination for all things fresh food. This is further strengthened by the addition of a Colonial Fresh store later this year, sellers of fresh produce, organic goods, and gourmet deli items.
There will be gourmet pop-up stalls at the Mini Market, featuring products from local artisans, such as bottled toppings, cookies and honey. Participating retailers at The Pines will also be offering exclusive deals for festival-goers.
Shoppers will be rewarded for spending $30 at the Fresh Food stores in-centre or $75 at one of the supermarkets across the weekend. Customers simply need to present their receipt to the Gift with Purchase booth from 10am – 2pm each day to be eligible to claim a free bamboo chopping board.
Plus, free kids’ craft will run across both days near Specsavers, with children getting the chance to make their own food magnets and banana bookmarks to take home.
The Nutrition Guy, Joel Feren, cooks up a storm across two demonstrations near Nova Kitchen. The morning cooking demo will be all about delicious Fish Tacos (11am) before Joel switches to Corn and Zucchini Fritters for the vegetarian shoppers (12.30pm). Both cooking demonstrations are free to attend.
