Wirra Wirra taps into spring

The Wirra Wirra wine company has released 2015 vintages of two aromatic white wines and its popular Grenache rosé to coincide with the beginning of spring.

The 2015 Lost Watch Reisling, 2015 Hiding Champion Sauvignon Blanc and 2015 Mrs Wigley Grenache Rosé have hit shelves at what Managing Director Andrew Kay describes as the perfect time of year for the style of wine.

“It has never made a great deal of sense to me why Aussie winemakers rush to get their early-release white and pink wines to the market at warp speed post vintage,” he said. “Typically, they land with a delicate floral thud sometime in the depths of winter gloom.”

“Let’s face it, these wines are made for the first burst of spring sunshine.”

Mr Kay says the 2015 Lost Watch Reisling is “zesty and fresh”, while the 2015 Hiding Champion Sauvignon Blanc “shows elegance” and the 2015 Mrs Wigley Grenache Rosé is “playful and perfect for a sunny afternoon”.

The wines are available now and range in RRP from $20 to $24.
