Woolworths launches new flavour twists on traditional Christmas treats

With Christmas just over two months away, Woolworths supermarkets are launching a new line of baked treats and bringing back a range of favourites to give Aussies an early taste of Christmas.

The new line features summery fruit flavours, “decadent” chocolate, and new takes on traditional favourites, including:

  • Woolworths Blood Orange & Fig Fruit Mince Pies ($4.00) – a modern twist on an old classic featuring blood orange and fig flavoured fruit mince surrounded by a shortcrust pastry.
  • Woolworths Butter Sponge Pudding with Raspberry and Plum Sauce ($2.50) – offers a rich buttery taste combined with sweet raspberry and plum sauce.
  • Woolworths Fruit and Nut Cake ($10.00) – a quintessential Christmas dessert with the perfect mix of dried fruits and nuts.
  • Woolworths Chocolate Fudge ($5.00) – a rich and decadent Christmas treat.

Woolworths’ Merchandise Manager of Bakery, Donald Keith, said: “With the festive season getting nearer, this is the time of year we see customers start to think about Christmas and begin stocking up on some of their favourite Christmas treats, particularly from our bakery.

“From Woolworths Butter Sponge Pudding with Raspberry and Plum Sauce to our Free From Gluten Fruit Mince Pies, we’re confident there’s something everyone can enjoy around the Christmas table.

“But this is just the beginning – in the coming weeks we’ll unveil our full range of Christmas products, including a new range of Aussie-made products and ingredients, sourced from local Australian suppliers.”

Customer favourites that are making a return include puddings, fudges, fruit mince pies, truffles, gold coins and candy canes.
