Woolworths will offer seasonal news on fruit and vegetables in Australia via a renewed Fresh Market Update campaign across TV, digital, radio, in-store, catalogue and social.
In the first campaign for this year, Fresh Market Update will feature two “highly passionate and experienced” Woolworths team members embarking on a road trip across various states to meet growers on their farms.
The first stop takes the team to blueberry farmer Harry Sohi in North Boambee on the NSW Mid North Coast. In the TV spot, Mr Sohi says cooler weather has meant later crops in NSW, but customers can expect 50 per cent more availability of the fruit this year, including larger, juicer berries.
Woolworths Director of Marketing Andrew Hicks says customers are looking for ways to make better food choices and to have all the information and fresh food inspiration that they need.
“Fresh Market Update aims to inform and educate customers so that they’re aware of what’s in season and to also highlight the latest news from growers across the country,” he said.
Putting the spotlight on “great Australian produce” are series presenters Paul Turner (Woolworths Produce Manager) and Isabella Gatta (part of the Victorian and Tasmanian Woolworths Food Academy team).
“Both Paul and Isabella have a deep understanding of our Australian-sourced fresh fruit and vegetables via their roles working closely with both our growers and store produce teams at Woolworths,” Mr Hicks said. “They were a natural fit to present the ongoing series and we look forward to them showcasing the latest seasonal news from all corners of the country.”
