Woolworths reveals Olympic and Paralympic collectible

Sixty-eight past and present Olympians and Paralympians have been revealed as the featured athletes on stickers in the Woolworths Aussie Heroes collectible. This is in celebration of this year’s Australian team as they make their way to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.

From this Wednesday, 7 July, for every $20 spent in store or online, customers can collect an Aussie Heroes sticker pack to build into their own Olympic and Paralympic themed collector album.

Each sticker features information on the athlete. This includes their birthdate and accomplishments. The sticker even makes mention of the athlete’s favourite fruit or vegetable, with the aim of inspiring kids to explore healthier foods from a younger age to reach their full potential.

Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Hicks says sport and fresh food have a natural connection and a way of bringing Australians together.

“As the long-standing fresh food partner of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams, our goal with this collectible is to celebrate some of Australia’s greatest athletes and future champions, as well inspire younger generations to live active and healthy lifestyles,” he says.

Further support

Customers are invited to make a donation to Paralympics Australia in Woolworths stores.

From Wednesday, customers can round up their purchase on self-checkouts, or make a donation of any amount on our serviced checkouts.

Customers can collect a bonus sticker pack when they purchase a participating product (capped at three per purchase).

A Woolworths Aussie Heroes collector case will also be available for $3, while supplies last.
