WHAT’S NEW ADDING TO CHOICE OF CONSERVE SERVES Bonne Maman has launched two new conserves to its portfolio: “rich and intense” Blackcurrant Conserve, and “tropical sweet” Mango & Peach Conserve. The Bonne Maman Blackcurrant Conserve is “deep and rich layered” with an “irresistible combination” of tart and sweet berry flavours. At the other end of the flavour spectrum, Bonne Maman’s Mango & Peach Conserve offers “a sweet freshness and vibrant sensation”, bringing a sense of “exotic destination” into the home. Both products (RRP $5.49 for a 370g jar) are available in independent supermarkets in the spreads aisle. A ‘CULTURAL FAVOURITE’ FOR PIZZA NIGHT The newest pizza innovation from McCain is promoted as bringing the sizzle to pizza night. Topped with pork sausage, diced onions, and a rich tomato and barbecue sauce, the Sausage Sizzle Family Pizza is said to combine all the ingredients of the “iconic” sausage sizzle on a “classic” McCain pizza crust. “In this current climate shoppers are embracing life at home more than ever and are looking for ways to be inspired with new and interesting flavours,” McCain Foods Brand Manager for Pizza Alice Briant said. “The Sausage Sizzle Family Pizza brings a cultural favourite to the home for families to enjoy together around the dinner table.” The product is currently available in the frozen pizza aisle at Woolworths stores across Australia for $7. ROAD TO ‘ALLERGEN FRIENDLY’ FLAVOURS The Rocky Road House has introduced 10 new flavours of “allergy friendly” confectionery. Promoted as offering a “flavour for everyone”, the range includes Choc Mint Humbugs, Musk Rock Candy, Pineapple Rock Candy, Raspberry Drops, Rosey Apple Bo-Peeps, Strawberry Bo-Peeps, Fruit Rock Candy, Watermelon Rock Candy, Strawberries & Cream, and Assorted Bo-Peeps. Launched in 2012, The Rocky Road House is said to have been born out of a mother’s aim to provide her daughter with an allergen-free confectionery alternative to her favourite treats. The Rocky Road House says it has gone from strength to strength and now ranges more than 32 SKUs, including bars, blocks, fundraising products and dad’s gift packs which are available at the company’s online store, selected IGAs and other retailers. VEGAN LOLLIES ‘NO COMPROMISE ON TASTE’ The Natural Confectionery Co. has added a vegan-friendly product to its confectionery range. Hitting Coles and independent retailers last month (and Woolworths this month), Vegan Fruity Flavoured Jellies utilise a new gelatine-free recipe. “We couldn’t ignore the requests from Aussies asking for a vegan-friendly option,” said Lauren Fiddles, Marketing Director of Candy, Biscuits & Meals at The Natural Confectionery Co. “We believe all lolly lovers deserve to enjoy The Natural Confectionery Co.’s delicious jellies, so we’re proud to be able to offer Australians a sensational new product that doesn’t compromise on taste.” The product (RRP $4 for a 200g pack) features an array of “mouth- watering” fruity flavours including Crisp Apple, Wild Blackcurrant, Luscious Peach, Tropical Pineapple, and Ripe Raspberry.
