WHAT’S NEW GUT VALUE IN A YOGHURT DRINK Mood Temptations Yoghurt Drinks are promoted as a gluten- free “delicious and healthy source of calcium and protein”. According to the brand, the yoghurt drinks help to maintain good gut health, containing probiotics Acidophilus and Bifidus that are “proven to aid with digestion”. The product is marketed as being “ideal” to enjoy as a breakfast, snack or dessert as part of a “healthy balanced lifestyle”. Mood Temptations Yoghurt Drinks are available in Vanilla, Mixed Berry, Kefir, Mango Lassi and Sweet Lassi variants with a RRP of $4. ENERGY DRINK AIMED AT MILLENNIALS New energy drink MTV Up! is marketed as an ideal mixer for vodka, gin, white or spiced rum and can be used to create cocktails. The product is also said to be “delicious” on its own, as a “tasty energy boost”. MTV Up!, according to the brand, is designed to inspire creativity and boost potential, encouraging Aussie millennials to enjoy life, have fun, discover music and live to their full potential. While the current major energy drink players in Australia focus heavily on sports, performance and high-octane activities, MTV Up! has positioned itself in a different audience segment. The new energy drink has identified a gap in the market that services millennials who are “passionate about music, travel, fashion and seeking new experiences”. MTV Up! is now available nationwide at BWS and Dan Murphy’s, and is also ranged at a variety of service stations across Victoria. KOMBUCHA-INSPIRED JELLIES The Natural Confectionery Co has added what is said to be the first ever kombucha-inspired jelly in Australia to its “much-loved” confectionery range. Claimed to have no artificial colours or flavours, these Australian made lollies with a “yummy” liquid centre contain kombucha extract and contain 25 per cent less sugar (compared with the average amount of sugar present in leading candy jelly products). The new product features three kombucha-inspired flavours in the mixed bag, including Strawberry Hibiscus, Ginger Peach and the “crowd pleaser”, Kombucha Original. A 180g pack with a RRP of $4 is currently ranged at Woolworths. ARTISAN-STYLE READY-MADE PIZZA Promoted as being hand-made in Sydney’s inner-west, Riccardo the Pizza Artisan pizzas are bring said to bring ready- made “restaurant quality” pizzas into the home. With a cooking time of six to eight minutes, the pizzas are aimed at providing consumers with “an authentic and healthier alternative” to ready-made pizzas in speciality grocers and supermarkets throughout Australia. The offering is available in both Classic (Margherita, Salami, BBQ Meatlovers and Vegetarian) and Gourmet (Peri Peri Chicken and Chipotle Mexicana) ranges. “True to takeaway size, light yet filling and topped with ethically sourced ingredients, Riccardo the Pizza Artisan is changing the way consumers think about ready-made pizza,” the brand said. 24 RETAIL WORLD MAR, 2021
