Coles customers can now take advantage of great value, personalised Flybuys offers from the Coles app to easily collect more points and take advantage of promotions when shopping at Coles.
From this week, customers who link their Flybuys account to the Coles app will have the ability to see personalised Coles offers including money off their shop, bonus Flybuys points on specific products or entire categories and even free products.
Coles is also making it easier for Aussies to collect Flybuys points, rewarding members with 5 x points on their shop when they spend $20 or more on fresh fruit and vegetables.
Until 27 June, a customer who spends $20 on fresh fruit and vegetables and scans their Flybuys, will collect 5 x Flybuys points on their shop.
“With customers flocking to loyalty programs to help their household budget go further, the Flybuys offer encourages customers to add more in season, healthy produce to their weekly shop, and boost their points balance in the process,” Coles said in a statement.
Shoppers who spend $100, including $20 on fresh fruit and vegetables, will increase their Flybuys balance by 500 Flybuys points. Aussie families with large basket sizes will earn big points, with a $200 transaction delivering 1000 Flybuys points. Customers can take $10 off their shop with every 2000 Flybuys points redeemed.
The initiative comes after Coles announced it will also be locking the price of selected fruit and vegetables for the first time, to give customers greater certainty on the price they will pay for fresh produce each week. Selected fruit and vegetable items will be locked in price until 18 July to encourage Aussies to increase their fruit and vegetable intake as the weather cools down.
Lunchbox favourites like Coles Mini Apples and Mini Pears have been locked at $3.00 per bag (WA $4.00), while 1kg Coles Carrots will stay at $1.40 and 2kg Little Tractor Potatoes will be locked at $5 (excluding WA and Tasmania), the perfect additions to a hearty stew.
Coles General Manager Instore Experience and Loyalty Adam Heywood says the new initiatives hope to encourage Aussies to load their baskets with fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the winter months.
“We have seen our customers turn to loyalty programs as the cost of living continues to pinch, to help them accumulate points and save on future transactions. This new offer from Flybuys will allow customers and their families to eat well while boosting their points balance to be used on upcoming shops,” Mr Heywood said.
“This fresh initiative is another way we’re helping Aussies this winter, and follows the latest instalment of our successful Locked campaign, taking the pressure off Aussie families by locking the price of selected fruit and veggies for the first time.”
On 7 June, Coles announced it would drop and lock the price of additional household staples and big-brand products as part of its next instalment of Dropped & Locked, to offer customers more than 480 Dropped & Locked items across supermarkets and online until at least July 4, with 204 of these to stay on Dropped & Locked until August 29. Customers can pick up a Coles Lamb Leg Whole Roast for $12 per kilo (was $15), saving 20%, or a Pork Loin 1.25kg for $12 per kilo (was $14), perfect for roasting.
Customers can also stock up on a range of pantry staples too, including La Espanola Olive Oil 500ml Dropped & Locked from $13 to $7 (saving 46%) as well as household cleaning supplies like the Somat Dishwashing Tablets 51 pack, Dropped & Locked to $21 from $35 (saving 40%).
Flybuys Fresh Produce Multiplier offer will run until 27 June and is available to both new and existing Flybuys members. Customers who spend $20 or more on fresh fruit and vegetables can collect 5 x points on their shop when they swipe their Flybuys card at checkout.
