Amazon Australia has announced the launch of Prime Free Same-Day Delivery in Perth.
Same-Day Delivery is free to Prime members on eligible orders over $49, who can now order from “hundreds of thousands” of products as late as midday for delivery before 10pm that day.
Product categories include everyday essentials, electronics, home and kitchen, beauty, video games, books, toys, clothes, shoes and more. To find items eligible for Prime Free Same-Day Delivery, Prime members can look for items marked with Prime delivery ‘Today by 10pm’ or the ‘Prime Same-Day’ badge on product detail pages on the Amazon app or website.
“We’re committed to making delivery for Prime members even faster, and we’re excited to announce a game-changing milestone for the people of Perth with the launch of Free Same-Day Delivery across a wide range of products,” says Amazon Australia Country Manager Janet Menzies.
“Australians’ expectations on delivery have changed and that is reflected in our numbers with an over 40% increase in same and next-day deliveries between 2023 and 2024.
“For Prime members in Perth, we’re now delivering the products they want and need faster than ever – delivering as quickly as the same afternoon or evening. We’re incredibly proud of the diverse selection of products available for Same-Day Delivery, so whether you need a new phone charger, a set of headphones for your commute, or even a birthday present for the kids’ party you may have forgotten, we’ve got you covered.”
Amazon aims to expand product selection and delivery areas eligible for Amazon’s Prime Free Same-Day Delivery and One-Day Delivery, to provide more Australian Prime members access to “even more products, faster”.
