Activate Group Australia, a pioneer in the Australian retail sector, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The momentous occasion marks four decades of commitment, growth, and innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of retail services.
Originally founded in 1983 as the Australian Food Brokers Association (AFBA), Activate Group embarked on its journey with a vision to bridge the gap between retail service providers and the dynamic needs of the industry.
At the inaugural event in Brisbane, the Chair Jim Watson, underscored the rising demand for comprehensive broker services and the expansion of merchandising services. The AFBA quickly established itself with local chapters and forged robust relationships with retailers across the country.
Over the years, Activate Group Australia has evolved significantly, adapting to the changing demands of the retail industry.
Today, the group boasts a national footprint, providing its members with an extensive range of services that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, offer vital information, encourage collaboration, and facilitate talent discovery.
In 2022, the group rebranded as Activate Group Australia, signifying its transformation into a dynamic, nationwide organisation.
“Activate Group’s services are now more comprehensive and accessible than ever before, catering to a diverse clientele ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to esteemed blue-chip brands. Notably, even major retailers have recognised the value of Activate Group’s members in meeting the ever-increasing demands of today’s discerning consumers.”
“We are immensely proud of our 40-year journey and the growth that Activate Group has achieved in the retail sector,” says Activate Group Australia Chief Executive Officer Keith Quigg. “This milestone is a testament to our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional service to our members and partners.”
As Activate Group Australia celebrates its 40th anniversary, it remains dedicated to its mission of providing unparalleled support to its members and partners.
