ALDI initiative to raise funds for Barnardos Australia

ALDI Australia will donate 10¢ from the sale of every Tandil Ultra Tropical limited-edition dishwashing liquid to Barnardos Australia, saying it is helping add a little sparkle into the lives of vulnerable families.

The retailer has partnered with Barnardos ‘Mother of the Year’ Gloria Nascimento from NSW to develop the limited-edition product within Tandil’s popular dishwashing liquid range.

Ms Nascimento personally selected the Tropical fragrance with its “notes of sweet coconut” and packaging design elements including a pink background and colourful handprints.

“Gloria is an inspiration and it’s been a privilege to work alongside her to develop such a special product for our customers,” an ALDI Australia spokesperson said.

“When you use Tandil Ultra Tropical dishwashing liquid, the result is greater than sparkling clean dishes. You will have helped Barnardos create a better life for some of the most vulnerable children in our society.”

For more than 10 years, ALDI has been supporting Barnardos’ work, collectively providing more than $2.5 million in financial donations and products, including books, toys, clothing and other essential items. This new initiative has a goal of reaching a further $25,000 for Australian children in desperate need.

Ms Nascimento said she was honoured to have been chosen by ALDI to represent Tandil.

“I want to do all I can to raise more funds for Barnardos,” she said. “So many

children and young people are in crisis right now and I want to spread the word about the vital work Barnardos does in our community. This work wouldn’t be possible without the support of wonderful organisations like ALDI – so this partnership means a lot to me.”

Inspired by Barnardos Mother of the Year 2014, the limited-edition Tandil Ultra Tropical will be available from October to January (or while stocks last) in ALDI stores nationwide.
