Almond Breeze launches barista competition

Almond-milk brand Almond Breeze is running a competition to find ‘Australia’s best barista’, following the launch of its Almond Breeze Barista Blend 18 months ago.

Baristas from across Australia will compete to craft the most creative latte art using Almond Breeze Barista Blend, with the competition’s grand final to be held in Sydney in October and the winner to receive the title of ‘Breezey Grand Master 2016’ and an all-expenses-paid trip to the US.

The competition is part of Almond Breeze’s larger campaign, Own the Morning, which it says looks to help simplify consumers’ daily lives and promote a healthier lifestyle.

“We’re also hosting Wellness Morning roadshows throughout 2016, bringing the Almond Breeze brand to capital cities around Australia to provide consumers with some simple tips on how to live a more balanced lifestyle, as well as showcase the ease of use of Almond Breeze in the morning routine,” Blue Diamond Growers Australia Country Director Roger Ringwood said.

Almond milk is the fastest growing milk in the non-dairy category and, in the first quarter of 2016, has overtaken soy in sales in Australia for the first time. Almond Breeze claims to be the fastest growing brand internationally in the non-dairy sector and, although Barista Blend is exclusive to the foodservice market, the brand offers a range that includes Original, Unsweetened and Chocolate varieties.
