Leading Australian food producer Brookfarm has unveiled its latest gourmet snack creations – premium roasted nuts in two flavours, Australian Lime & Sea Salt and Smokey Australian Saltbush.
Handcrafted by Brookfarm co-Founder and Head of Innovation Pam Brook, on the family macadamia farm in the Byron Hinterland, these new gourmet nut mixes bring you the taste of Australia like never before.
A delicious savoury, salty blend of oven-roasted Australian macadamias, whole almonds, cashews, and pumpkin seeds, these nut mixes are preservative-free, gluten-free, vegan, and peanut-free. “A perfect companion for snacking, entertaining, or pairing with your favourite beverage.”
It was Will Brook, Brookfarm’s CEO and son of co-Founders Pam and Martin Brook, who saw an opportunity in the market.
“The flavours for our two snack mixes have been bubbling away as ideas for a very long time. There was a gap in our range (and on the shelves) for a truly delicious savoury nut mix with that Australian touch. The perfect companion to an evening beverage,” says Mr Brook.
Brookfarm Australian Lime & Sea Salt Roasted Nuts zesty blend is dusted with Australian dried lime and sea salt, offering a gourmet take on a classic flavour that evokes the essence of an Australian summer. Made from 100% fresh Queensland whole limes, Brookfarm’s unique dried lime powder delivers a refreshing zesty flavour. “The gentle drying process intensifies citrusy tartness, bringing out those salty undertones when combined with Australian sea salt.”
Brookfarm Smokey Australian Saltbush Roasted Nuts flavours of outback Australia is Brookfarm’s smokey premium nut blend. Made from gently charred sustainable applewood, Brookfarm’s smoke flavour has a semi-sweet and apple-like essence. “This pairs perfectly with the savoury and salty notes of Australian saltbush, Australia’s most delicious and unique native herb.”
