Cadbury launches new campaign to support local sport

Cadbury has launched the ‘A Cheer & A Half’ campaign, encouraging Aussies to support their local sporting clubs via donations and volunteering.

Expanding its “long” history of supporting and partnering with the Australian Olympic Committee and existing five-year partnership with Rugby Australia, as well as partnerships with the Hobart Hurricanes, Commbank Matildas and AFLW, Cadbury says it will further cement itself as a key partner of Australian sports.

To celebrate Australian sports icons and key moments in sports history, 10 new limited-edition, specially designed Cadbury Dairy Milk blocks will be available to purchase. The athletes featured on the packs, says Cadbury, have been chosen because they embody the spirit of generosity both on and off the field:

  • Adam Goodes
  • Ash Barty
  • Daisy Pearce
  • Mark Taylor
  • Cedric Dubler
  • Sam Bloom
  • Simon Clarke
  • Commbank Matildas
  • The Wallabies

Aussies can scan the QR code featured on the back of the block to access a directory of local, registered clubs where they can either donate or sign up to volunteer.

“Through our specially designed limited-edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Block packs, we are celebrating some of Australia’s most inspiring and generous moments in sport,” says Mondelēz International Vice President of Marketing Paul Chatfield.

“By sharing these stories with Australian families, we hope to inspire generosity amongst the community, show the power of connection through sport and encourage people to get more involved with their local sporting clubs. Now more than ever, sporting clubs need our help to fuel the future of sport in Australia.”

The specially designed 180g blocks, along with specially designed Cadbury Dairy Milk 50g and 75g bars, are available from all leading retailers.
