Charlestown Square partners with Newcastle Food Month with in-centre dining activation

Charlestown Square is strengthening its position as a leading retail and lifestyle destination in the Hunter, joining Newcastle Food Month as presenting partner to help expand the festival’s reach and bring more accessible food-led experiences to local audiences.

The partnership reflects Charlestown Square’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves, while creating meaningful opportunities to connect customers with local businesses, hospitality operators and the region’s broader food culture during the Easter and school holiday period.

As part of the collaboration, Charlestown Square will support Newcastle Food Month through a series of family-friendly in-Centre experiences under its Plate Dates offering, featuring venues such as Holey Moley, Thirsty Monkey, In Forno, Lees Yum Cha, and more. The campaign will encourage customers to discover new flavours through a $25 or $30 signature meal initiative across 16 of its venues, designed to drive visitation and engagement across the Centre’s dining precinct.

Sarah Kane, Marketing Manager at Charlestown Square, said the partnership aligned strongly with the Centre’s focus on delivering relevant, community-led experiences that resonate with local audiences.

“Charlestown Square is proud to be the presenting partner of Newcastle Food Month and champion the incredible food culture we have here in the Hunter.

“We’re excited to help bring the program to life in a way that’s vibrant and welcoming for everyone, giving local families and food lovers more reasons to explore, discover and support the talented venues and businesses across our region,” she said.

Through the partnership, Charlestown Square will help amplify key moments across Newcastle Food Month while strengthening its role as a platform for local connection, discovery and experience-led retail. The activation also provides an opportunity to spotlight food retailers and hospitality operators within the Centre, while contributing to the visibility of the wider Hunter food scene.

By aligning with one of the region’s most anticipated consumer-facing festivals, Charlestown Square is helping drive awareness of Newcastle Food Month while supporting the continued growth of the Hunter as an increasingly recognised food and lifestyle destination.
