Colliers and Pollen partnership to provide industrial advisory service

Industrial advisory specialists at Colliers and supply chain experts at Pollen Consulting Group have announced an “industry-first” collaboration to provide a full end-to-end industrial advisory service.

The new partnership will see Colliers working in collaboration with Pollen to maximise the value of supply chains, technology, automation and the resultant property for real estate occupiers.

Colliers’ role will be to provide crucial property information and negotation skills to secure new facilities or renegotiate existing facilities, while delivery of the project can also be completed via the company’s Project Leaders business. Pollen’s role in the partnership will be to provide inital analysis, insights and advice to ensure the best outcome for the clients utilising their expertise across manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.

Colliers Managing Director of Occupier Services in Australia Doug Henry says the relationship would allow Colliers and Pollen to provide full end-to-end industrial advisory solutions.

“At Colliers, we underpin our service offerings by our ability to lead the industry into the future. We are proud to share our new partnership with Pollen,” Mr Henry said. “Two groups of industry experts from separate companies with very different, but related, expertise coming together to create a strategic partnership. This truly unique collaboration of specialists is turning industrial complexity into opportunity.

“We have adopted a ‘better together’ model to enable best in class solutions to be provided to our clients both from a property and logistics and supply chain advisory basis. Both companies have complementary skillsets and in working together, we are able to provide an upfront design whether it be for a single warehouse or a complete supply chain network,” Mr Henry said.

Pollen will work closely with Colliers to understand each client’s specific needs and design an appropriate solution. This could be as simple as a change in material handling equipment or racking layout, or a total network design.

Pollen CEO Paul Eastwood says the team at Pollen is thrilled to kick off the new partnership with Colliers.

“This is an exciting new partnership for Pollen. The recent advancements in technology and automation have enabled facilties to be more consumption-driven and geared to fulfilment. Understanding and planning for a changing world is the challenge that has presented itself for many occupiers,” Mr Eastwood said.

“Pollen is a market leader in the manufacturing, logistics and supply chain sector and Colliers is a market leader in industrial property, so together we provide a market leading end-to-end service.”

Colliers National Director of Industrial Advisory Peter Evans explains that warehouse occupiers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their supply chain and warehouse planning and delivery.

“Warehouses are becoming larger and more sophisticated, and therefore greater focus is being applied to the planning and implementation of various racking, automation and technology solutions. In addition, Covid has accelerated warehouse demand which is expected to peak later in 2021-2022.

“Supply chains have been tested and our clients are questioning what the post-Covid supply chain is going to be. This is just one area we look forward to helping our clients solve,” Mr Evans said.
