Data tracking solution for shopping trolleys

Addressing the issue of abandoned shopping trolleys in the community, Australian owned company TDMN (Trolley Data Management Network) has developed the “world’s first” coinless shopping trolley lock and GPS tracking system known as sMart Lock.

The sMart Lock system allows shoppers to unlock shopping trolleys by scanning a QR code with their smart phone and enables retailers to track any trolley left abandoned in the community via GPS tracking.

“The system is designed to incentivise and reward consumers to return trolleys while also providing retailers with the GPS location data of any abandoned trolleys, enabling a fast and cost-effective collection,” the company said. This also offers a self-reporting solution for abandoned shopping trolleys.

“TDMN has developed a suite of products that is an evolution in trolley tracking and retrieval.”
