Eastcoast Beverages expands operations to meet growing demand

Eastcoast Beverages has recently invested more than $4 million into expanding operations. The investment has enabled the company to upgrade its juicing and bottling facilities, including state-of-the-art technologies that have boosted production capacity.

Bottling speeds have increased: 2-liter bottles now fill at 120 bottles per minute (up from 60), and 4-liter bottles at 45 bottles per minute (up from 15). Efficiency has further improved with the introduction of a robotic palletiser, reducing manual handling.

The expansion also includes high-speed conveyors, advanced cleaning systems, and a new juice line, all of which enhance production capabilities while reducing waste and improving sustainability.

This growth phase reflects Eastcoast Beverages’ commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability, positioning the business favourably to meet the growing demand for juice and spring water across the Eastern Seaboard.

Eastcoast Beverages is an orange juice company born on a citrus farm in Kulnura, an hour north of Sydney, that has evolved over the past 60 years into one of Australia’s favourite juice brands and remains true to its third-generation citrus farming roots.

“In the same way that there is genuine orange juice and then there are shelf stable products that couldn’t be further from the farm, Eastcoast Beverages is a genuine family business that grows, juices and bottles on-site and supplies its range of 40 different juice blends to Woolworth’s, Coles and independent retailers across the Eastern seaboard,” the company said.

“This connection to the land, paired with a business structure that involves more than nine Lentini family members, ensures an unwavering commitment to product quality that starts with the soil and runs all the way through to the breakfast tables of Australian families.”

Eastcoast General Manager Samuel J Lentini says, “We really do go the extra mile to produce great tasting fruit that results in great tasting juice, and we control the entire bottling process to make sure that the juice is delicious, nutritious and proudly preservative free.”

Mr Lentini takes a more holistic lens to the business, focusing on production, retail, product quality, and sustainability that involves a circular approach to farming where the factory rinse down water is used to irrigate the orchard, the citrus peel is fed to local cattle, pulp is used by a yoghurt factory to flavour its products, and organic fertilisers work to prioritise soil health.

Community is also at the heart of the Lentini family business, where visitors to the farm are welcome to pick their own fruit, tour the factory and enjoy lunch at the on-site cafe. Eastcoast hosts regular community events on the orchard such as family festivals, picnics and even rock concerts.

The Eastcoast Beverages range includes freshly squeezed orange juice, old fashioned lemonades, smoothie blends, spring water and seasonal juices.
