Eat + Drink SA, featuring 13 premium South Australian food businesses and three wineries, with wines matched to the food, showcased an amazing array and taste of South Australia.
Food South Australia CEO Catherine Sayer, with the support of Brand SA, hosted an event on 6 March at Rocker Bar & Restaurant, North Bondi in NSW to delight chefs, retailers, distributors, media and food industry identities. They had the opportunity to taste specially curated snacks under the watchful eye of Chef Darren Robertson and the team at Rocker.
“We were delighted to bring South Australia to Bondi, as we have such wonderful producers who were all able to talk about their products with passion. The food was amazing and really highlighted how wonderful South Australian food and wine is,” Ms Sayer said.
“The careful curation of the menu and the matching of the wines provided an amazing experience and, despite the hottest day in over 10 years in Sydney, everyone went away knowing more about South Australia which was great”, she said.
The producers on the beautiful tasting menu and on show featured: Goolwa Pipico, Eyre Peninsula Seafoods, Ferguson Australia, Port Lincoln Sardine, Kim Premium Australian Food, Clean Seas Seafood, Section28 Cheese, Rio Vista Olives, Pinnaroo Farms, Two Providores (Careme Pastry Distributor), Paroo Premium Kangaroo, Yumbah, Olsson’s Salts, Claymore Wines, Oliver’s Taranga, and Gatt Wines.
