FFG launches therapeutic infant formula

pic with WendyAustralia’s newest premium infant formula brand, Nutura, will be hitting the shelves this month.

As well as being fully Australian owned, Nutura uses 100 per cent Australian dairy and is manufactured in a dedicated facility in Melbourne. Owning the facility has allowed parent company Functional Foods Global (FFG) to implement unique manufacturing processes.

FFG Managing Director Yossi Spigler says Nutura formulas have been tested and have been shown to have some of the highest formula levels of calcium, iron, antioxidant vitamins, phosphorous and L-Carnitine. Nutura has also been found to be high in omega 3 and omega 6, DHA and B-group vitamins.

“All ingredients that enter our facility are sent away for independent testing prior to use”, FFG Managing Director Yossi Spigler said. “Once we have the finished product, we also send that away for a full range of independent testing before it’s released, even though Australian standards do not require us to. These are the types of rigorous standards we believe Australian parents want and expect.”

Nutura is the first infant formula to be listed as a therapeutic medicine with the TGA, a step FFG believes represents a major milestone in product development and manufacturing standards for infant nutrition.

Ahead of its launch, Nutura announced a partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Proceeds from every can of Nutura sold will go directly to the NBCF for breast cancer research.

Nutura aims to raise $100,000 for the NBCF from this campaign.
