Foodservice industry honours Well and Good

Well & Good Rye-lessWell and Good’s Continental Dark Bread (Rye-less Rye Bread Mix Gluten Free) was named Foodservice Product of the Year – Shelf Stable at the 2015 Foodservice Industry Australia Awards of Excellence.

The awards recognise the achievement of companies and their staff in pursuing their roles in the foodservice industry where integrity, commitment, service and excellence have been delivered.

A panel of industry leaders, including buyers from a number of distributors, food scientists/nutritionists, chefs, end users and others as selected by chief judge John Day, judged products in the Foodservice Product of the Year categories.

In addition to its winning ‘Rye-less’ product, Well and Good’s Continental White Bread (Gluten Free) was named as a finalist in the Shelf Stable Food category.

Managing Director Sam Barak said he and the Well and Good team were “thrilled to receive this prestigious award despite stiff competition from foodservice innovators such as Unilever and Kagome Australia”.

Other food-product winners were:

  • Foodservice Product of the Year – Chilled or Fresh: Chicken, Kale and Quinoa Soup (Love Life by John McEwan Handcrafted Gourmet Foods).
  • Foodservice Product of the Year – Frozen: Bulla Real Dairy Soft (Bulla Dairy Foods).
