Future of Food + Drink announced

South Australia’s food and beverage industry will come together for the Future of Food + Drink Summit and Trade Show, a focused two-day event at Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide on 16–17 June 2026.

Presented by Food South Australia, the event unites manufacturers, producers, buyers, chefs, government and industry leaders for a program built around growth, collaboration and opportunity.

This year’s event combines Food South Australia’s industry summit and trade show into a single, connected experience – centred on one theme: the Future of Food and Drink. The program is designed to drive growth across the sector through thought leadership, innovation and direct market connection.

“By pairing a forward-looking Summit with a dedicated Trade Show, we’re creating a platform that turns ideas into opportunity for South Australian businesses,” said Food South Australia CEO Tori Dixon-Whittle.

Summit – Tuesday 16 June 2026

The Future of Food + Drink Summit will deliver a full day of keynote sessions, expert panels, targeted breakout sessions and dedicated networking.

Headlining the program is Tony Hunter – globally recognised Food Futurist, food scientist and strategic foresight consultant – who will bring an international lens to emerging technologies, shifting consumer trends and the future of food systems. A second keynote will examine both the benefits and the pitfalls of using AI in food and beverage businesses.

Ms Dixon-Whittle said the pace of change makes events like this more important than ever.

“Our world and therefore our industry is changing rapidly,” she said. “This program is designed to make sure South Australian businesses are ready for what’s next.”

The full Summit program will be released in April 2026.

Trade Show – Wednesday 17 June 2026

Presented by Food South Australia and supported by the Government of South Australia, the Future of Food + Drink Trade Show is the state’s leading showcase of South Australian-produced food and beverage products.

More than 60 established and emerging South Australian brands will exhibit across the day, with the event drawing domestic and international retail buyers, distributors, wholesalers, foodservice businesses, government, academia, students and industry professionals.

The event creates a highly focused environment for connections and commercial opportunities – putting South Australian producers in front of the buyers, retailers and decision-makers who can grow their business further.
