Independent food retailer Harris Farm Markets has welcomed its latest store, nestled in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West.
The new Marrickville store brings Harris Farm’s signature blend of fresh fruits and veg, amazing array of grocery, and food innovation to one of the city’s most vibrant and diverse communities.
At Harris Farm Marrickville, shoppers can expect a market-style shopping experience under one roof – celebrating seasonality, sustainability, and value.
Luke Harris, Co-CEO of Harris Farm Markets says opening a store in Marrickville is “incredibly special for us”.
“It’s one of the most vibrant and exciting districts in the world right now – a true food and culture hub filled with great restaurants, bars, and a strong sense of community,” he said.
“We’ve had friends living here for years and countless customers asking for a Harris Farm closer to the Inner West. We’re thrilled to finally make that happen and to bring our values of freshness, sustainability and quality into a neighbourhood that truly shares those values,” he said.
What’s in store?
The store features the retailer’s iconic range of fresh fruit and vegetables, sourced by daily from the markets; over 500 cheeses from around the world, hand-stirred yoghurts, cold-pressed juices, and the popular Imperfect Picks range – saving quirky but delicious fruit and veg from going to waste.
Bonfire Bakery – which can also be found in Harris Farm Markets’ Mosman, Lane Cove and Dural stores – is onsite, baking fresh sourdough and pastries daily. Fish in the Family, Harris Farm Markets’ trusted seafood partner, serve the freshest catch.
In a first for the retailer, the Marrickville store features Harris Farm Markets’ own delicatessen, slicing quality smallgoods and deli meats fresh to order.
Bringing some theatre to the store, a Pour Your Own Station invites shoppers to help themselves to milk on tap, honey, and even coffee.
Supporting a colourful community
Located at 186 Victoria Road, Harris Farm Markets Marrickville anchors Wicks Place, a new urban village combining living and residential space. While just a kilometre from the Marrickville Metro shopping centre, which underwent a major redevelopment and expansion a few years ago, the Harris Farm Markets site is well positioned to meet the needs of locals in the rapidly growing suburb.
Adding a bold splash of local character, the Marrickville store features a stunning custom mural by Sydney-based artist Nico Nicoson, whose vibrant work previously featured in Harris Farm Redfern.
The new design captures the soul of Marrickville through colour, community, and creativity – bringing a uniquely local identity to the space.
Marrickville locals will be treated to exclusive opening day offers, supplier tastings, and in-store excitement to celebrate the opening.
