Woolworths Group’s independently operated, health and wellness subsidiary, HealthyLife, will extend its relationship with SuperPharmacy, providing customers with more convenient access to scheduled and non-scheduled health products and complementary health programs.
Through this relationship, HealthyLife will acquire key technology and warehouse assets and in turn will provide e-commerce, related technology, branding, platform and warehouse wholesale services to SuperPharmacy, under the banner name ‘HealthyLife Pharmacy.’
SuperPharmacy, has been a partner of Woolworths Group since 2021 via the Everyday Rewards program and as a third party merchant on HealthyLife.com.au since August 2022.
The SuperPharmacy team have been providing Australians with prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines and wellbeing needs since 2000. The current six physical SuperPharmacy pharmacies located in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA and WA will continue to be owned and operated independently and will operate under the HealthyLife Pharmacy banner.
Through rebranding SuperPharmacy stores to HealthyLife Pharmacy, and the increased presence of the rebranded HealthyLife Pharmacy on healthylife.com.au, HealthyLife will become a destination for all health and wellness needs, providing:
- A wide range of pharmaceuticals, and prescription medicines, fulfilled via eScript and led by HealthyLife Pharmacy pharmacist Warren Turner.
- Access to health advice from trusted health professionals and services such as telehealth consultations and a wide range of complementary health programs.
- Access to a wide range of health, wellness, home and beauty products.
HealthyLife Managing Director Ananth Sarathy says: “Since launching HealthyLife last year, our goal has been to help Australians live healthier lives by providing trusted health advice and a curated range of health and wellness products.
“The pandemic has led to an increase in customers turning to the digital environment for their health needs. SuperPharmacy is complementary to HealthyLife’s existing health and wellness business. The arrangements with SuperPharmacy will enable customers to access their health needs in an efficient way online via the HealthyLife platform and instore at a HealthyLife Pharmacy,” Mr Sarathy said.
SuperPharmacy proprietor Warren Turner says: “This is a natural step for SuperPharmacy and HealthyLife. It will provide greater access and the delivery of care as required by our customers seeking to obtain their health and wellness needs online.
“We will continue to provide a broad range of pharmaceutical and prescription medicines at HealthyLife Pharmacy and will be expanding our holistic health programs and support services,” he said.
The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
