HMPS won two awards at the recent Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) Awards of Excellence.
The awards, which recognise Australia’s finest manufacturers, took place in Melbourne on March 27 at a “sustainably-themed” gala dinner.
HMPS won two awards in the categories of Design Innovation Award
(for the HMPS Compact Frame) and Export Success Award (for the HMPS Robotic Unloading Cell).
HMPS is a wholly-owned Australian company that specialises in the design, development and manufacturing of high-quality machinery for packaging processes.
Exporting excellence
HMPS says the two awards are particularly satisfying because it’s recently placed great emphasis on its export market.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve,” HMPS Executive Chair Mark Emmett said. “Excellence is a continuous process.
“We’ve updated the technology and functionality of our machines. And while HMPS remains the company that customers know and trust, cutting-edge technological improvements, added benefits and creative improvements will ensure added competitive advantages.
“The improvements to our machines are more than ‘skin deep’. Customers can now enjoy improved efficiencies thanks to enhanced access to our machines, faster product and size changes, as well as improved maintenance benefits.”
Global ambitions
As an international player, HMPS has installed machines around the world. Mr Emmett says the company now has renewed energy and focus thanks to a marketing drive that prioritises key global markets.
“Our industry 4.0 solution, HMPSConnect, allows us to access and support machines around the world, in real-time, 24-seven,” he said.
“I’m so passionate about our industry. Awards such as APPMA’s, and events such as AUSPACK, remind us of the difference that we can make both locally and globally.”
