Australian poultry success story, Lenard’s, has appointed Peter Dawson as the Queensland State Manager. Mr Dawson was formerly of SUPA IGA and Metcash/IGA, Smokemart & Gift Box and The Reject Shop.
Mr Dawson is another recruit at Lenard’s following the appointment of retail sales veteran, Steve Smith, formerly of Coles, Woolworths, Metcash and IGA as the Regional Sales Manager for NSW, Victoria and Tasmania in August 2022.
“I have known Peter both personally and professionally for 18 years,” says Lenard’s CEO Harry Rumpler.
“We worked together at a previous company, and Peter is well known in the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sector.
“He was also an IGA retail store owner for six years, so he understands the needs of our customers.”
Mr Dawson will work closely with the new sales team as the Lenard’s brand continues to grow into all independent retailers across Australia through its partnership with leading wholesale distribution warehouse, Metcash.
“I would describe myself as a retailer who is all about the team,” says Mr Dawson.
“I have been watching the development of the brand, and its retail offer, over the last six months, and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve with this great brand.”
Mr Dawson joined the Lenard’s team in October 2022.
