Popular US brand Lume (pronounced loo-mee) has launched down under with two whole body deodorant formulas available in Woolworths.
The brand, which has over 230,000 social media followers, offers a science-backed, ph-optimised solution for odour control which is safe and effective for use on different areas across the body, with results that last up to 72 hours.
“Through clinical testing I found the main source of body odour is bacteria on the skin that digests bodily fluids like sweat and urine,” said Lume MD Dr Shannon Klingman, a gynaecologist who developed the product.
“And that reaction doesn’t just happen underarms – it’s happening everywhere: underboobs, belly folds, thigh creases, vulvas, butt cheeks, feet – the works! Lume stops bacteria from consuming fluid on the skin and prevents odour before it even starts.”
More than odour control
Lume is aluminium-free, pH-balanced, and gentle enough to use even on intimate areas (external only). It’s also clinically proven to help:
