McCain Foods has launched its Rustica range of frozen pizzas, which the company says are minimally processed and contain no artificial preservatives or flavours.
Rustica pizzas have a sourdough crust and are baked in a wood-fired oven. The range is marketed as a gourmet-style offering.
McCain Foods Australia and New Zealand Head of Marketing Katrina Wilson said that Rustica aims to be a convenient alternative to making homemade pizza and a cheaper alternative to eating out.
“McCain Rustica sourdough gives pizza lovers a premium quality dining experience in the comfort of their own home – and saves them time and money in the process,” she said.
The Rustica range is available in Spinach and Mozzarella, Margherita and Four Cheeses and has an RRP of $7.49.
