Moro Olive Oil launches ‘category first’ Eco Bottle

Australian olive oil brand, Moro, has launched a new Eco Bottle made from “100% recycled materials.”

A study by Kantar Australia¹ found that 16% or four million Australians are concerned about sustainability when making purchase decisions.

Moro Eco Bottle supports the transition to a circular economy by reusing plastic waste that would otherwise end up as landfill. Moro Eco Bottle is made from 100% recycled PET and is 100% recyclable, including the label and cap.

“We are proud to be first to market with a product that offers consumers more choice when it comes to sustainability. Moro Eco Bottle will help to reduce unwanted plastic in the environment, requires less energy to produce than other packaging materials, and creates fewer greenhouse gas emissions,” says Conga Foods Marketing Manager Kristen Moxey. “The lightweight material and convenient grip design also make it easy to use or decant into your favourite cruet.”

Moro 2.2L Eco Bottle comes in two variants, Primero Extra Virgin Olive Oil which is the number one selling product in the range, and Tradicional Olive Oil. Primero is a medium intensity extra virgin olive oil that has a fruity flavour and mild peppery finish, for hot or cold use, while Tradicional is a blend of extra virgin and refined olive oils to deliver a classic flavour that is lighter in colour, flavour, and aroma. Tradicional is best used for everyday cooking, including pan frying, sautéing, and roasting.

Moro 2.2L Eco Bottle (RRP $33) is available from Woolworths, leading independent supermarkets and continental delis.
