ALDI will be introducing its Good Different offerings to locals of Blackburn Square when a new store located at 66-104 Springfield Road Blackburn North, Victoria opens its doors from 8:30am on Wednesday, 9 August.
The new store will provide the Blackburn Square community with high-quality products at low prices and has created 15-20 new full and part time jobs in the local area.
The spacious new 1188sqm store will offer customers access to over 800 parking spaces and will feature a range of innovations, including self-serve check-outs, modern interior design and simple navigation so customers can easily navigate the savings on offer.
ALDI Blackburn Square will offer “award-winning” fresh produce, 100% Australian meat and top shelf liquor.
“We are delighted to be making Blackburn Square a new home for Australia’s lowest priced groceries. We offer Aussies a supermarket experience like no other and are proud to call ourselves ‘Good Different’. Our curated range of exclusive brands, streamlined operations, and our coin deposit trolleys are just some of the small differences that allow us to cut out unnecessary costs and pass these savings onto customers,” says ALDI Australia Regional Managing Director David Zalunardo.

Customers can experience ALDI’s famous Special Buys aisle with new products going on sale every Wednesday and Saturday. The new store will offer an exclusive range of Special Buys for the grand opening including a Woodfire Pizza Oven for just $139 and a King Size Electric Blanket for just $44.99.
For new shoppers to ALDI in the Blackburn Square area, ALDI’s shopping expert Kylie Warnke has curated a list of “must try” products first-time customers should pick up.
“Customers who haven’t shopped with us before, should grab a trolley token (just 99c!) and head in store to check out our quality offering. We are confident that it’s not only the prices that will delight customers in the Blackburn Square area but also the amazing quality of our exclusive brands, which are consistently award winning,” says Ms Warnke.

Making a ‘Good Difference’
In August 2020, ALDI committed to 100% renewable electricity, achieving this in June of 2021. All ALDI Australia stores, offices and warehouses are now fully powered by renewable electricity.
In addition to being completely powered by renewable electricity, in 2019, ALDI also committed to reducing plastic packaging by 25% and ensuring 100% of packaging will be reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025. In 2021, ALDI committed to sending zero waste to landfill by 2025 with an initial focus on reducing food waste.
