The campaign, managed by PMA A-NZ, has signed a landmark deal with Fairfax Media to be the official fruit sponsors of the Australian and New Zealand running festivals in 2016 and 2017.
To help runners avoid the post-exercise energy crash, ‘Pick Right. Feel Bright!’ will supply fresh fruit to runners as a snack rich in healthy sugars, fibre, carbohydrates and potassium to help refuel their energy supplies.
‘Pick Right. Feel Bright!’ and Fairfax Media have agreed to supply free fruit to runners at the Canberra Australian Running Festival April  9Â10, Brisbane City2South June 5, Perth Swan River Run July 24, Melbourne City2Sea November 20 and the Sydney Sun Run and Cole Classic February 4Â5, 2017. They are also in the process of finalising the same contact from the New Zealand running festivals in early 2017. In total, the campaign expects to reach an estimated 40,000 people around Australia and New Zealand.
Kicking off in Canberra this weekend, Freshmax and Costco Wholesale have donated a combined total of 5,000 bananas and apples to ‘Pick Right. Feel Bright!’ for the participants of the Australian Running Festival.
