New Zealand’s “number one” peanut butter brand, Pic’s Peanut Butter is spreading the word about its new pantry staple, a “perfect blend” of its two original spreads Smooth and Crunchy, Pic’s ‘Smoochy’ Peanut Butter.
The idea for Smoochy has long been in the works, but it was only when Chief Peanut Butter Maker Pic Picot received a letter from budding food scientist and peanut butter superfan, 10-year-old Maggie Mellors that the idea became a reality.
Wanting to share the joy of Smoochy with the rest of the world, she wrote a spirited letter to Mr Picot, proclaiming Smoochy to contain “double the yumminess” and arguing it would be his next bestseller. Pic’s Peanut Butter Makers found “the perfect squish to satisfy the peanut butter lovers for whom smooth is too smooth and crunchy too crunchy.”
Mr Picot says, “Aussies are fanatical about their peanut butter, so I’m sure Smoochy will spark some good old-fashioned debate and possibly heal a few family rifts.”
Like all of Pic’s Peanut Butters, Smoochy is fresh roasted daily and packed at Peanut Butter World in Nelson, New Zealand in its solar powered peanut roastery.
