Powerade has launched a reformulated ION4 blend and is celebrating by giving Australians the chance to turn their personal best run into cash with the ‘5K for $5K’ challenge. 

Made in Australia, the new blend is said to be scientifically formulated with sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, to replace electrolytes and fluid lost in sweat and to help sustain performance via “fast” hydration.  

Coca-Cola South Pacific Senior Marketing Director Kate Miller says the iconic Powerade range has a new formula and fresh new look.

“With more of the electrolytes, calcium and magnesium, it’s our PB formula and we can’t wait for people to try it,” she says.

Regarding the run challenge, Ms Miller says it’s time to rally your friends, grab some Powerade, and get moving.

“Don’t just take our word for it – try our PB, sign up online and show us your PB,” she says.

“Whether you’re gunning for a personal best or just on the lookout for a fun new way to keep fit, the 5K for $5K challenge is the ultimate opportunity to get active and be rewarded for your efforts.” 

How Australians can enter the Powerade 5K for $5K challenge: 

• Make a qualifying purchase: Buy any Powerade product from a participating retailer, such as Coles, Woolworths, or MILKRUN. 
• Scan the QR code: Locate the in-store QR code and scan it with your smartphone to access the entry page. 
• Register and submit: Complete the online entry form by providing your full name, email address, date of birth, phone number, and the last four digits of your qualifying purchase barcode. Then, enter your personal best (PB) time for a 5km run and upload a screenshot from a fitness tracking app as proof of your PB.
