Providing a generous helping for local teachers

The hospitality and events industry is feeling the full weight of the coronavirus pandemic right now. However, Brisbane family-run business Chez Nous Corporate Catering are making the most out of dark times by delivering old-school, home-made comfort meals to local teachers for free.

“Our business is certainly feeling the full force of this crisis, but Chez Nous Corporate Catering continues to operate, and we are grateful to those in the community who are making that possible, particularly those working at the coalface, like our teachers,” says manager director Penny Culpo.

“For many, food is a source of comfort, connection and control. And right now, we need a generous helping of all those things.”

The comfort menu

The free meals include items from Chez Nous Corporate Catering’s home delivered comfort meal menu.

The home-made range includes traditional favourites like lasagne, beef bourguignon, beef and red wine pie, and pumpkin soup. DIY pasta packs including home-made tomato passata or basil pesto, dried spaghetti and grated Grana Padano are also on offer as part of the new home delivery menu.

Pick up options are also available.

A full menu is available here, and orders can be made at or 07 3844 8588.
