Queensland’s Meet the Makers returns

Ǫueensland’s premier food and beverage trade showcase, Meet the Makers, returns Friday 25 July 2025, bringing together over 60 of the region’s most innovative and inspiring producers under one roof at The Station in Birtinya.

Hosted by the Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN), Meet the Makers 2025 offers qualified buyers and industry professionals a unique opportunity to connect directly with makers from the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, Moreton Bay and beyond, exploring new product ranges, menu additions, and supply partnerships.

Now in its sixth year, Meet the Makers continues to position Southeast Ǫueensland as a national leader in food innovation and collaboration.

“This event is more than a trade show,” said Nicole McNaughton, FAN CEO and Agrifutures, 2025 Ǫueensland Rural Women’s Award recipient.

“It’s a curated experience that connects makers with markets, sparks new business opportunities, and puts a spotlight on the strength and creativity of our regions.”

The invitation-only trade session runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm, followed by a barbecue and networking session for exhibitors.

Later that evening, producers will also feature at the Ǫueensland’s Sunshine Pantry Twilight Market (4:00–8:00 pm) – a free public event aligned with The Curated Plate.

Roz White, respected independent grocer and champion of local and regional produce is an ambassador for the event.

“It brings together everything that’s great about our industry – people, passion, purpose – and showcases it to those who can help take our products further, to help strengthen our local producers and communities,” she said.

FAN expects to welcome over 1,200 attendees across both sessions, with buyers from retail, wholesale, hospitality, tourism and export sectors already registering interest.
