Search for top retailers at ARA Awards

The hunt is on for the best and brightest retailers as the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) calls for nominations from the industry.

The 2017 eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards, held at The National Gallery of Victoria on August 3, is set to include a variety of awards for talent, achievement and innovation in what the ARA calls an “ever-changing retail landscape”.

“Retailing is an exceptionally important sector for the Australian economy,” said ARA Executive Director Russell Zimmerman, “and this event is a great platform for forward-thinking retailers to share their inspiring success stories and gain industry insights from esteemed guest speakers.

“Retail plays a vital role in the daily lives of all Australians and the ARA is proud to acknowledge the achievement and talent of the passionate retailers that are the heart and soul of the industry.

“The awards span 12 categories reflecting the diversity of Australian retail – from independent owner-operators, to national brands, industry innovators, outstanding staff and exceptional store fit-outs.

“The coveted ‘2017 Retailer of the Year Award’ is by far one of the hardest to critique, with the extraordinary calibre of leading Australian retailers in the field. I’m glad I’m not on the judges’ panel, they have their work cut out!”

Eftpos Managing Director Bruce Mansfield said: “Retail is a vital part of the Australian economy, and it’s important that we recognise the industry’s ongoing contribution through these awards.”

Eftpos will be the major sponsor at the event this year, the fourth consecutive year the company has supported the awards night for the industry.

Retailers are encouraged to enter the awards or nominate an exceptional retail employee by registering at www.australianretailawards.com.au by June 23.
