The winner of SPAR Australia’s Easter Consumer Promotion competition in 2015, Wendy Dowler, spent New Year’s Eve in New York with her family as part of her prize.
Ms Dowler, of Molong in the Central West of NSW, won a trip for two to the Big Apple, which included return economy airfares from Sydney, return airport-hotel transfers and four nights’ accommodation in New York at a minimum four-star hotel, entry to New Year’s Eve celebrations and $2000 spending money.
SPAR customers were required to spend a minimum of $15 at Express stores or $30 at supermarket stores (in a single transaction and excluding the cost of alcohol, tobacco, gaming and fuel products) to qualify to enter the prize draw.
Ms Dowler extended the trip and, along with husband Anthony and their children Emily, Joshua and Gabriel, also visited Washington DC before stopping over in Hawaii on the way home after a month-long stay in the US.
“Wendy and her family are such lovely people and are always helping others through their work as a registered nurse in an emergency department and an ambulance officer,” SPAR Molong Store Manager Debbie Stone said. “It’s nice to see them receive something for themselves for a change. We couldn’t have had a better winner.”
The SPAR competition was run throughout all SPAR, SPAR Express, 5 STAR Supermarket and 5 STAR Handimarket stores in the ACT, NSW and Queensland.
Ms Dowler is a regular customer at the Molong store, which is part of the worldwide SPAR family.
