The House of Wellness returns

Lifestyle program The House of Wellness is back for a fourth season, returning to Seven and 7plus from 15 September.

Hosts Mel Doyle and Shane Crawford are back at the helm, joined by new panellists Dr Michela Sorensen and comedian Sam Taunton.

In season four, The House of Wellness format evolves to bring “fresh energy” to the couch, diving into the health conversations Australians are having right now.

“It has always been this late-night entertainment show that just happens to have health and wellness at its core, which is what makes it so much fun to host,” says Ms Doyle.

Throughout the season, the team unpack a range of health and wellbeing issues impacting Australians, some light hearted, some every day, and some more hard hitting. Dr Sorensen shares her own personal journey with oral cancer at age 34, a diagnosis that typically affects lifelong smokers over the age of 75.

Asthma affects 2.8 million Australians, and Mr Taunton and Mr Crawford compare notes on their own very different experiences with the condition. Mr Taunton’s childhood asthma eventually disappeared, while Mr Crawford’s didn’t show up until he was playing AFL, at one point shutting down his lung capacity by 30%.

Guests

The House of Wellness will also welcome a lineup of big-name guests:

  • Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke opens up on skin checks, urging Australians to get checked.
  • Three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist race walker Jemima Montag, newly crowned boxing world champion Andrew Moloney, Ironwoman champion Harriet Brown and Australian Olympic curler Kristen Tsourlenes take Mr Crawford on in ‘Crash Test Crawf’, putting him through his paces
  • AFL legend Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico joins the conversation on bladder control and the impact of ageing on continence.
