Tip Top acquires Charmhaven manufacturing site

Previously owned by The Kellogg Company, the currently vacant 25,000sqm site on the NSW Central Coast will shortly undergo a multimillion dollar refurbishment and provide a much-needed extension to Tip Top’s bakery and distribution network.

The site is expected to bring up to a 100 new jobs to the community in the coming years.

Tip Top Bakeries Managing Director Andrew Cummings, said: “At a time when so many food companies are consolidating and closing sites, we are delighted to be adding to our bakery network and working to fulfill our ambition to become the leading bakery company in Australia and New Zealand.

“Tip Top is already a key employer in NSW and a strong contributor to its economy – we take great pride in this. The Charmhaven site will be a complementary addition to our existing network and this exciting multimillion dollar investment will ensure we continue to produce and deliver the highest-quality product, daily across Australia.”

With three other NSW facilities at Chullora, Newcastle and Ermington and a further 11 manufacturing plants across Australia, Tip Top is committed to delivering high-quality fresh bread daily and remaining as one of the biggest employers in the country.
