Australians have rated both Foodland and Coles as joint winners in Canstar Blue’s latest supermarket bakery ratings.
Foodland was rated five stars for freshness of products, customer service, value for money and overall satisfaction, with four stars for variety & range and layout & presentation. Similarly, Coles was rated five stars for freshness of products, variety & range, layout & presentation and overall satisfaction, with four stars for customer service and value for money.
Commenting on Foodland’s offer, Canstar Blue says the retailer’s range “may vary slightly from store to store but covers all the basics from fresh-baked breads through to lunchbox fillers such as cheese and bacon rolls, muffins and finger buns, along with pies, sausage rolls and sweets for the rest of the family to enjoy”.
Canstar Blue says Coles offers a “wide variety” of bakery options for both in-store and online shoppers. The range is split into cakes and desserts, in-store bakery breads and rolls, savoury treats, sweet treats along with vegan and gluten free ranges.
“Bakery breads [at Coles] include packs of flatbread, whole loafs of white, wholemeal or multigrain bread, hamburger rolls, French sticks and tiger rolls, with treats such as scrolls, tear and shares, croissants, donuts, biscuits, buns and cakes also available for you to pick up during your grocery shop,” adds Canstar Blue.
Following Foodland and Coles in the rankings came Woolworths, Costco and IGA.
Canstar Blue surveyed 2344 Australians for their feedback on the supermarket bakeries they’ve purchased from in the last month.
