V Bugs get a Refresh

The latest campaign for Frucor Suntory’s V Energy sees the return of the V Bugs, bringing good vibes and smiles to audiences around Australia and New Zealand for the promotion of brand new energy drink, V Refresh.

V Refresh is said to be a lighter and crisp tasting drink that still offers that iconic V burst of energy. The new no sugar, low calorie energy drink is available in Citrus Lemonade and Pineapple & Watermelon flavours.

To promote the new product, and to engage a new generation of energy drinkers, Clemenger BBDO Sydney have bought the much-loved V Bugs back. This time, they are on a new adventure dancing under waterfalls and cracking open a refreshing can of V Refresh with mates in the midday sun.

“As we drive awareness and curiosity with our new energy offering through this new creative we hope our consumers are inspired to also try something new,” says Chris Henbrey, V Energy Marketing Manager APAC.

New CMO appointed

Frucor Suntory has also announced the appointment of Allison Yorston as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), as the business takes on a new direction of growth across the Oceania region.

Ms Yorston brings more than 20 years of marketing experience in FMCG to this new appointment, including roles with leading manufacturers Unilever Australia, Arnott’s, Fonterra, and Sanitarium Health Food Company. Nost recently, she was marketing director, energy and transformation at Frucor Suntory.

“I’m proud to be taking the lead on our business’ marketing and creative programs and to play a part in building our portfolio of relevant brands and products that our consumers can enjoy,” she says.

“Whilst Frucor Suntory is a multi-national corporation, we have a strong local presence in Oceania and I believe that local footprint – along with our amazing team culture, great work and consumer centricity – truly gives us an edge in understanding what Aussie and Kiwi consumers really want.”
