Vaalia releases new gut-friendly Probiotic Kefir Yoghurt range

Vaalia has launched a new range of all-natural, lactose-free Probiotic Kefir Yoghurts with no added sugar, offering a boost of billions of gut-friendly bacteria in just one tub.

The range moves beyond the traditional drinking format of kefir, making it more accessible to consumers by transforming it into a creamy, spoonable yoghurt.

Made using 14 active strains of gut-friendly bacteria, the new spoonable kefir yoghurt is “a healthy and new alternative to regular yoghurt, offering more bacteria strains than standard yoghurts, including probiotics to boost digestion and immunity.”

Author and dietitian Jaime Rose Chambers (B.Nutr&Diet) says Vaalia Probiotic Kefir is an easy, cost-effective, all-natural way of incorporating a diverse range of gut-friendly bacteria into your everyday diet, without the need for a supplement.

“One of the most important things you can do to improve gut health is have a diversity of healthy probiotic bacteria every day. A healthy gut ensures healthy digestion and bowel function, digestion and absorption of nutrients from our food and, better immunity. Studies have also shown links between gut health and mental health, autoimmune diseases, heart health, hormone disorders, skin conditions and some cancers”.

“The health of our gut is mostly determined by the health of our microbiome (the community of billions of microbes that live in your gut). A healthy microbiome is one that has a high number of different strains of gut friendly bacteria. The more diverse the gut bacteria, the better able they are at supporting gut health functions. The way we get the diversity of strains of bacteria is by eating a range of plant foods including fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, nuts, seeds, legumes and lentils, as well as eating probiotic-rich foods every day, such as Vaalia’s Probiotic Kefir Yoghurt.”

The new Vaalia Probiotic Kefir range includes six yoghurts and is available at Woolworths and independent supermarkets for RRP of $5.80 (700g) and $2.30 (150g).
