Woolworths has introduced five new plant-based products for the upcoming festive season.
The products include:
- Plantitude Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Mud Cake
- Plantitude Traditional Fruit Pudding
- Plantitude Dairy Free Vanilla Custard
- Plantitude Dairy Free Brandy Custard
- Woolworths Plant-Based Christmas Roast
The retailer has also released its range of Woolworths Free From Christmas treats, catering to those with food allergies and intolerances.
There are seven products in this range. These include puddings and fruit mince pies, with refreshed packaging design to tie into new Woolworths Christmas branding.
Woolworths Food Company Managing Director Guy Brent says Christmas is all about bringing together family and friends while sharing quality fresh food, but with that comes a range of dietary restrictions or preferences.
“This Christmas, we’re pleased to offer a variety of plant-based products in our Woolworths Plantitude range and Woolworths Free From bakery line, ensuring no one has to be left out at the Christmas table,” he says.
“We’ve made it easy for customers to get everything they need for their festive spread in one shop at Woolworths.
“We know many customers enjoy variety in their diet. We’ve seen a 23% lift in demand for our Woolworths Plantitude products on last year, so we’re expecting many more Christmas spreads to include plant-based products this year.”
